Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (PM AJK) Raja Farooq Haider Khan on Friday announced to establish Counter Terrorism Department in AJK, saying that the police department has performed an effective role in establishing law and order within the State.
“With the establishment of CTD Police department will be further strengthened”, the PM said this while addressing the meeting of AJK Police officials here on Friday. Senior Minister Ch. Tariq Farooq, Chief Secretary AJK Dr. Ijaz Munir, Inspector General AJK Police Shoaib Dastagir, Senior Member Board of Revenue (SMBR) Fayyaz Ali Abbasi, Secretary Finance Fareed Tarrar and DIGs were also present in the meeting.
Expressing satisfaction over the overall performance of Police he said that the government would provide all available resources to the police department to maintain law and order in the State.
The Prime Minister maintained that the Azad Kashmir is a safe region and all steps will be taken to maintain the peaceful atmosphere here, the decision has been taken to establish a Counter Terrorism Department in Azad Kashmir. ‘‘Security of non residents should be fool proof besides up gradation of the communication system, the old liabilities will be cleared to the police”, he said adding that the police department playing a good role in protecting the lives and property of the people.
He observed that the investigation process will be made to improve in addition of the speedy administrative justice to masses.” Development and balance of society can only be maintained and improved through administrative justice system”, the PM said adding that the present government was giving serious attention to administrative justice and will solve all the problems of the police.
PM also stated that Police adhoc employees future will be protected, ‘‘due to the poor management and policies of previous governments, police employees are facing problems, the current government will secure the future of the employees.’’ Prime Minister added.
