If police don’t vacate official residences then Rangers will be called in : CJP

Islamabad: Supreme Court (SC) has ordered that official residences matter should be sorted out within 15 days.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar remarked “ people who are waiting in line should be provided official residence. IG Islamabad should sit with the concerned parties and find out a solution. If police don’t vacate the residences then Rangers will be called in.
The CJP gave these remarks while presiding over a 3 members bench of SC during the course of hearing of illegal allotment of official residences suo motu notice on Wednesday.
CJP inquired “ Saleh Zafar is residing in G-6 under what law.
Secretary housing replied house has been got vacated from Saleh Zafar.
CJP remarked “ police personnel are our force. People who are waiting in line should be provided official residence. The police personnel who are occupying flats have to pay Rs 350 million outstanding dues. We will issue the orders after 15 days what the law allows us.
Secretary housing told the court housing ministry has only 3 police personnel. The strength of staff is next to nil. Therefore, we are facing difficulties. Occupation by police is illegal. One police personal said he was in police service since the last 22 years and no allotment has been made to him. We should get allot home in Kachchi abadi.
The CJP remarked “ I am thinking about regularization of Kachchi abadis.
The court while ordering for resolving the matter of occupation of official residences by police personnel within 15 days adjourned the hearing of the case for 15 days.
