Police crackdown against tented glasses, fancy registration number

ZHOB: Police have initiated an action against the vehicles using tinted glasses and unapproved number plates here. The police imposed fine on dozens of vehicles with tinted glasses and fancy number plates in different parts of the city.
Acting on the on the instructions of Deputy Inspector General of Police Zhob Region and Superintendent Police Zhob, the police under the supervision of SDPO Ghafoor Khan Mandokhail during a special drive took down tented glasses and fancy number plates from dozens of light duty and heavy duty vehicles near Kamal Khan chowk here.
SDPO Ghafoor Mandokhail told this scribe that the police have launched a special drive and the equal application of law is our main objective which would be achieved at all costs.
He said anyone found using tinted glasses in vehicles will be fined and strictly dealt with.
“An effective drive against tinted glasses, colored headlights and fancy number plates would be continued”, adding strict action in accordance with the law will be taken against the violators indiscriminately. He vowed.
“Police have also kept a strict check on the practice of illegal horns and have managed to control to a large extent in different parts of the city. We will take more appropriate measures to deal with such violations,” the police officer warned.
When contacted Deputy Commissioner Zhob Shabir Ahmed Mengal he said that the officials concerned have been stressed to check all types of traffic irregularities to ensure supremacy of law and provision of facilities to the masses.
It is to be mentioned that a round-the-clock helpline service at police station has been introduced to efficiently respond to the emergency calls and address public grievances.
