Nankana Sahib: Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan Affairs, Chaudhry Muhammad Barjees Tahir has said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s vision of developing Pakistan is being appreciated in the entire region and other regional countries are desirous to follow this vision for developing their own countries. Addressing a gathering after inaugurating the College Road in Tehsil Shah Kot of district Nankana, the minister said China Pakistan economic Corridor is a vision of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to integrate Pakistan with China and Central Asia.
He said that Motorway Project initiated by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif back in 1990s was aimed at to connect the country with the Central Asian States. But unfortunately this project was criticized and same forces now want to expand this project up to their respective areas.
Barjees Tahir said not only our own provinces want to become part of CPEC but regional countries also want to become part of this project to reap the economic benefits from it. He added that CPEC would not provide basis for lasting economic benefits to Pakistan but will also give new impetus to the development of basic infrastructure in the country. The Minister said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif want to see all parts of the country developed equally and this is the reason that underdeveloped areas given more attention to bring them at par with other areas of the country
