LAHORE: Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has taken out massive crackdown against local hotels, issued 239 warning notices located at GT Road and N5 National Highways to ensure the quality of food on Wednesday.
The purpose of this crackdown was to keep check and balance on such places (hotels) where a huge number of passenger visit often to stay for a while during traveling with family members.
According to details, teams have visited 189 hotels for checking food quality and premises condition to ensure the standard environments at N5 National Highway Lahore to Sadiqabad. As many as 149 hotels checked en-route of GT Road from Lahore to Rawalpindi.
PFA Spokesperson informed that PFA team has sealed two hotel near at Bahawalpur for using rotten vegetable, ingredients and substandard and unhygienic food contents. He also said that PFA also sealed famous hotel for poor conditions of staff, located near Jehlam. He said that PFA is giving awareness to restaurants about PFA laws in Phase-1 whereas strict action would be taken against them over not following laws in Phase-2.
