Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Chairman of Pakistan Agriculture Research Center, Dr. Yusuf Zafar has said that agriculture sector of Pakistan has been painstakingly working to improve its efficiency by adopting new technologies and implementing research results into farmer’s fields.
The PARC chairman made these remarks while presenting Research Productivity Award from PCST to Dr. Sadar-ud-Din Siddique at a function here on Tuesday. He said that Pakistani scientists and agriculture experts were paying their whole attentions towards crop productivity enhancement to meet the future needs. “Population is growing up day by day and to meet the challenges ahead we have to work more efficientlyâ€, he said.
Appreciating the research work of Dr. Sadar-ud-Din Siddique, the PARC Chairman said, “We all have to perform as per our capacity for the betterment of agriculture sectorâ€.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Sadar-ud-Din Siddique, who received the prestigious award for publication of his research papers said, “It is a great honor for meâ€. Siddique said that he will work with same spirit, zest and zeal for the uplift of agriculture sector in future. He thanked Chairman PARC and all participants for this encouragement. He observed that with faith and hard work we can achieve our destiny.
“If we struggle hard we will support agriculture sector development a lot and also strengthening country’s economy as wellâ€, Dr. Siddique said.
