HMNB Portsmouth, UK: Syed Ibne Abbas, Pakistan High Commissioner to the UK being greeted by the Royal Marines Band at the arrival of PNS Aslat at HMNB Portsmouth on 18-7-2018
The Pakistan Navy Ship PNS Aslat arrived at HMNB Portsmouth, UK today (Wednesday) for a series of high-level engagements. Commodore Muhammad Faisal Abbasi, Commander 25th Destroyer Squadron is leading the ship.
Pakistan High Commissioner to the UK Syed Ibne Abbas and Captain of the Naval Base Captain Bill Oliphant received the PNS Aslat at the base.
The ship was greeted by a Royal Marines Band on the jetty. HMNB Portsmouth is hosting this visit by the Pakistan Navy from 18 to 22 July.
The visit will foster good relations between navies of Pakistan and the UK and build on mutual co-operation and support. It will also introduce the Pakistan Navy to Royal Navy training facilities.
A large number of Pakistani community members who have already registered via Pakistan High Commission’s website, will be visiting the ship on 21 and 22 July 2018.
