Rawalpindi: Even after a passage of one week there is no clue whatsoever about Professor Mufti Shahzad Ahmed who went mysteriously missing last week from Rawalpindi’s Pakistan Town where he was staying with his friend temporarily to attend AIOU workshops.
Hailing from Azad Kashmir’s border town Abbaspur Prof. Shahzad along with his friend was abducted by some unknown persons from Pakistan Town in the midnight last week. The missing Professor’s brother had submitted a compliant regarding their abduction in Loi-bare Police station and an FIR has been formally launched in this regard but so far there has been no headway on this particular case despite the passage of one week.
The distressed parents of missing professor have voiced serious concern over sudden disappearance of their beloved son. While on the other hand there is a strong resentment in his native town Abbaspur where social, political and educational institutions have demanded the government of Azad Kashmir to play its much needed role to ensure early recovery of the missing professor.
