Islamabad: Senior Advisor to Prime Minister Pakistan Sardar Mehtab Khan Abbasi called on Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (PM AJK) Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan here on Thursday.
Both leaders condemned the Indian atrocities on Line of Control besides human rights violations in Indian occupied Kashmir.
Matters of mutual interests including long awaited amendments in AJK Interim Constitution Act 1974 and endeavors for development were also discussed in the meeting.
On the occasion, Prime Minister AJK Raja Farooq Haider Khan reiterated that empowerment of Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir was in the manifesto of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz. He said, “Our leader Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is committed to empower the State’s government and abolishment of Kashmir Council is indispensable in this regard”.
Sardar Mehtab Khan Abbasi in the meeting said that Federal government will fully co-operate for the amendments in AJK Interim Constitution Act 1974 in addition to the abolishment of Kashmir Council. Sardar Mehtab Khan Abbasi also admired the endeavors taken by the incumbent government of AJK for development and hoped that AJK will progress more in coming years under the leadership of Prime Minister AJK Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan.
Meanwhile, Member AJK legislative Assembly Pir Syed Ali Raza Bukhari also met the Prime Minister in Jammu and Kashmir House and discussed the mutual interest matters besides admiring the efforts of the Prime Minister to strengthen AJK elected government.
