MCI prepares PC-1 of dozen mega projects for Federal Capital

Islamabad, Aug 09 (Online): Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) has prepared Rs 13.50 billion PC-1 of 12 important and mega projects of Federal Capital.
The inner sources stated that mega developmental projects PC-1 file was forward to planning ministry for approval.
Sources stated that Rs 3.50 billion has been allocated for these projects and remaining amount would be issued before December.
The approved projects including water supply, maintenance of urban and rural areas roads, modern such service, stop to stop shuttle service, constriction of sewerage treatment plan at Rawal Lake and construction of town halls.
Talking to the news agency, the CEO MCI Abdul Rasheed has stated that the work on these projects would be started soon.
Responding a question, he admitted shortage of Water in Federal Capital and added work would be started on urgent basis to supply clean drinking water to one million Capital inhabitants.
Answering a question regarding sewerage treatment plan, he said that this was also very important project and Rs 2 billion would be utilized on this project. Moreover, he added that PC-1 of all projects has prepared and sent to planning commission for approval.
The work on all projects would be started soon after getting approval from planning ministry, he added.
