Abbaspur: (Parliament Times) Preparations for observing 33rd death anniversary of Shaheed Muhammad Maqbool Butt has entered into final phase. The workers of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) and Students Liberation Front (SLF) are actively engaged in finalizing the arrangement to observe the day with solemnity and national zest.
The SLF will hold candle vigil before the public meeting to be organized by JKLF onFebruary 11. The public meeting will be addressed by political, social, religious and students leaders. A leader of the JKLF, Sardar Shahjehan Arshad told this scribe that Shaheed Maqbool Butt had held our head high by offering the supreme sacrifice of his life. He said that today struggle for the independence of Kashmir had got inspiration from the life of and death of legendary leader Maqbool Butt and added that Kashmiri nation will never forget or overlook the mission started by Shaheed Maqbool four decades ago.
The JKLF and SLF leaders appealed to the all political, social and religious parties of Abbaspur to fully participate in the events marking the death anniversary of legendary Kashmiri leader. They also appealed to the representatives of print and electronic media to give appropriate coverage to events to be organized in connection with the death anniversary of Shaheed Maqbool Butt.
