ISLAMABAD – Opposition on Friday walked out of national assembly as government continued to struggle to ensure presence of required number of lawmakers in the National Assembly (NA).
According to details, session of the lower house of parliament began under supervision of Speaker Ayaz Sadiq. Opposition raised issue of rampant tree harvesting on embassy road.Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQMP) Naeema Kishore demanded to inquire town administration on whose orders tree are being harvested. Upon which State Minister Dr. Tariq Afzal replied that a total of 210 trees were planted to replace 190 harvested.Standing Committee on Human Rights submitted report in parliament. Later, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s lawmaker Shireen Mazari pointed out lack of quorum upon which session was adjourned till November 20.
