Brussels: Kashmir Council Europe (KC-EU)’s Chairman Mr Ali Raza Syed has called the International Community to protect rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir specially rights of women of Indian Held Kashmir (IHK).In a statement on International Women Day, supporting human rights specially right of women in Indian Held Kashmir (IHK), he said, there are thousands of women in IHK who are waiting for their husbands, fathers, sons and brothers forcibly disappeared by Indian forces.Kashmiri women have been the worst victims of rights violations by Indian troops in the territory for the last 70 years as a large number of Kashmiri women lost their men. Kashmiri women remembered their hardships because their life has been directly affected by India state terrorism.
He pledged the Kashmir Council EU’s support for human rights including women rights in Indian Held Kashmir and urged that human right violations in IHK should be stopped. Chairman Kashmir Council EU further asked the international community to prevent violence against humanity in the territory.
He said, KC-EU would continue its effort in spreading awareness about Kashmir issue and to help against the suffering of the people of Kashmir.
