Peshawar: Hajj flight operation will start from today (Monday).
The first flight for Saudi Arabia will depart from Bacha Khan Airport Peshawar. In first 2 days, over 400 intending pilgrims using private airlines will leave for Madina Munawara from Bacha Khan Airport.
According to Director Hajj Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 29,000 pilgrims from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will perform Hajj this year. PIA’s first Hajj flight will depart to Jeddah on 26 July at 10:40 am.
A special meeting was held to review the arrangements for Hajj flight operation. Special security measures are in place to avoid an untoward incident. Unidentified persons will not be allowed to enter the airport.
According to PIA spokesperson, Hajj flights will depart from Sialkot airport on 26 July and August 3,4,6,7,9,10,11,12,13 and 14 respectively.
