Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) Punjab Caretaker Minister for Agriculture, Food, Irrigation, Forestry, Fisheries. Wildlife, Livestock and Dairy Development and Planning & Development Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan has said that government officials should discharge their responsibilities with professional competence and maintain the spirit to serve the masses without any discrimination.
He said this while addressing the officials after assuming the charge of his office. He was received by the senior officials of concerned departments and presented bouquet on this occasion.
The Caretaker Provincial Minister said that although the prime responsibility of caretaker government is to facilitate free, fair and impartial elections but government officials should maintain their continuity in discharging their official duties with devotion and dedication. Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan said that the objective of good governance could only be achieved if government officials should discharge their responsibilities without any fear and pressure. He said that they should follow the rule of law and always work with honesty and adopt judicious approach in resolving public issues relating to their concerned departments, he added. The Punjab Caretaker Minister was of the view that grievances of government employees would also be addressed during the course of time and their excellent working would be properly appreciated. He said that government officials who would be deputed for election duties should perform judiciously for organizing general elections in free, fair and transparent manner.
