Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Khan on Monday said government would encourage the investors to invest in the AJK to promote the tourism in the State.
Chairing a meeting regarding the promotion of tourism in AJ&K, Prime Minister said the legislation would be made regarding lease of land, the formation of state tourism executive committee, tourists guide and hotel management. He said after 13th constitutional amendment,Tourism has be came the subject of AJK government.
To bring the amendments in rules of business, a meeting would be convened after the Eid ul Azha,he said.
He said Minister for tourism was working hard for the promotion of tourism. He said, the decisions were not implemented due to laziness, and there was a negative impact because of none implementation of decisions, he said.
He termed the present situation very dangerous due to unemployment and to control the situation we will have to promote tourism, he said.
He said his government had made recruitment on merit and in a result, the youth have more faith and confidence in government.He said Cabinet meeting would be called to finalize the tourism policy.
Talking on Environmental issues, the prime minister said that government would also take steps to protect the environment.
”Cleanliness would be focused, and use of the plastic bags have been banned and these decisions would be implemented strictly,, ”he said.
He said, for the provision of facilities to the tourists at tourists spots ”Al Akhowat” an NGO, will provide loans to the unemployed youth, and a facility of guest houses will also be provided,” he said.
He said to regulate the tourism , tourism regulatory policy would also be made.
Senior Member Board of Revenue Fayyaz Ali Abbasi, secretary Forests Zahoor ul Hasan Gillani, special Secretary Ejaz Khan and director general Tourism Javid Ayub also attended the meeting.
