Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) In connection with Pakistan Day Sports Festival, a cricket tournament commenced at Government Post Graduate College, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi on Wednesday. Prominent former national and international cricketers and trainers of different cricket academies were present on the occasion.
The cricket teams of Masud Anwar Cricket Academy, Muhammad Waseem Cricket Academy, Zaheer Abbas Cricket Academy and Babar Cricket Academy participated in T-10 cricket matches played at Govt. Post Graduate College Satellite Town Rawalpindi. During the opening ceremony, the players were introduced to the Director Public Relations Rawalpindi Hamid Javaid Awan, Masud Anwar, Shujat Hussain, Salim Raza and Syed Touqeer Shah. Masud Anwar said that youngsters were played excellent cricket in different tournament matches and they would play due role in promotion of cricket at grass root level.
The final of Pakistan Day Sports Festival cricket Tournament will be held at Government Comprehensive Boys High School adjacent to Govt. Hashmat Ali Islamia College, Farooq-e-Azam Road, Rawalpindi on March 29, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. (Thursday).
