Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said China Pakistan Economic Corridor would significantly contribute in the socioeconomic uplift of the region.
Talking to visiting delegation of trainee officers of Command and Staff College Quetta in Muzaffarabad today, he said on the special directions of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Azad Kashmir has been included in this project of national significance.
Raja Farooq Haider Khan said a strong and stable Pakistan is in the great interest of Kashmiri nation and added that people of Indian Occupied Kashmir are struggling to achieve their internationally recognized right to self determination.
Prime Minister of Azad Jammu & Kashmir Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan emphasized that people of Gilgit Baltistan should be granted their due political and constitutional rights without changing Pakistan’s principled stand on Kashmir issue.
“People of Azad Jammu & Kashmir are not a hurdle in the way of the granting of the political and constitutional rights to the people of GBâ€. The Prime Minister said “it is our desire that the Giglgit and Baltistan population should enjoy maximum due rightsâ€. He said that the governments of Azad Jammu & Kashmir and GB are the local authorities under the spirit of the United Nations resolutions.
The Prime Minister said that the bureaucracy enjoys the status of back bone in the socio-economic progress and prosperity of the country. “The continuation of democracy and its values and peaceful transfer of power is imperative for the stability and development of the countryâ€, he said. Raja Farooq Haider Khan underlined that the exercise of the peaceful transfer of power and the stability of democracy in Pakistan leave positive impacts on the Kashmir freedom movement and the ulift of Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
Referring to the fast deteriorating situation of Indian occupied Jammu & Kashmir following continued reign of the Indian state terrorism against the innocent freedom monger population of the held territory, Raja Farooq Haider Khan said that the valiant people of the occupied state are engaged in their struggle for the achievement of the birth right of self determination as pledged to be granted in the United Nations resolutions. He pointed out that the valiant Kashmiris have halted over seven lakh Indian occupying troops in the occupied territory.
India , he said, is extremely scared of the peaceful resistance movement of the people of Jammu & Kashmir. Raja Farooq Haider Khan continued that in order to divert the attention of the international community from the worsening conditions and human rights abuses in occupied Kashmir , Indian have started targeting the innocent forward areas population of Azad Jammu & Kashmir dwelling along the Line of Control, of her unprovoked firing time and again. “The frequent use of heavy arms by the Indian army , without any provocation, against the civilian population at the LoC through the use of heavy arms, is the blatant violation of the LoC besides the perpetration of open state terrorism and the war crimes.
The AJK Prime Minister said that the institutions should sincerely perform their duties with full sense of responsibility, which, he observed, could lead to reduce the grievances and unrest among the masses. The officers shall have to sincerely focus to deliver to the masses instead of only passing time in their offices.
Raja Farooq Haider Khan emphasized the need for the far reaching planning to bring the country at the path of speedy progress and prosperity. He also strongly suggested for making the institutions maximum stronger to achieve the task of progress and prosperity in minimum possible time. The AJK Prime Minister said that the existence and progress of Pakistan lies in the democracy. “The economically strong and stable Pakistan had always been our (people of Jammu & Kashmir) desire – since the people of the Kashmir are fighting the war for the completion of Pakistan – since Pakistan is incomplete without its jugular vein – Kashmir’, he added.
Raja Farooq Haider Khan further said that Pakistan is the ultimate destination of the people of Jammyu Kashmir. “Out unflinching relation with Pakistan is not with any individual or with any personality – but this bondage is with the state and the ideology of Pakistanâ€, the AJK Prime Minister categorically declared.
The Prime Minister recalled that the Kashmiri people had decided to be annexed with Pakistan at the time of division of the sub continue.
Raja Farooq Haider thanked Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for taking full interest for the speedy progress and prosperity of Azad Jammu & Kashmir. He said that the people and the government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir are also extremely grateful of the government of Pakistan especially the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for including AJK in the gigantic CPEC project through taking special interest to this direction. He said that Mirpur is going to enjoy the 9th mega industrial zone under the CPEC project which would also lead to spread the net works of grand highways, express ways and the series of hydel power projects across AJK territory, which is already enriched with huge natural potential both for hydel power generation and tourism sectors, he underlined.
Farooq Haider resolved to make AJK self sufficient and self –reliant economically and financially by raising the sources of income through the promotion of tourism and hydel power sectors under top priorities of the government. The delegation invited the AJK Prime Minister to visit Staff College Quetta, which he accepted.
