Rawalpindi: Commissioner Rawalpindi Nadeem Aslam Chaudary has directed to accelerate pace of work on on-going development schemes.
Chairing a meeting of divisional development working party held here Tuesday to review headway of current schemes, he urged to ensure completion of developmental schemes within given time frame as promised with people.
Deputy Commissioner Tallat Mehmood Gondal, Director Finance and Planning Noureen Bashir, Deputy Director Development Saima Ghafoor, ADC (G) Maleeha Jamal, CaptainĀ® Anwar DG PHA, XEN Highway Syed Arshad Raza, Shafiq SE Highway, Masood Rangha SDO Buildings and other concerned officials were also present at the meeting.
He said Shehbaz Sharif Park worth of 87.931 million rupees, establishment of Janazgah at NA-52 with an estimated cost of 84.269 million rupees and various other development schemes in Rawalpindi division corroborate the fact that Punjab government is heedful to raise the living standard of its people by initiating various development schemes which after completion will bring ease for common people, he shared.
Commissioner Rawalpindi further added that no deferment in the permitted schemes will be endured as required funds have already been transferred to concerned departments as per their demand.
While conversing at this occasion, DC Rawalpindi Tallat Mehmood Gondal said that District government is vigilant to provide all out resources as support in this regard and to solve whatever interference comes across, so with all these backings none of the delay for completion of development schemes within postulated time would be acceptable.
While briefing the meeting about detailed status of schemes Director Finance & Planning Noureen Bashir said that in road sector, Rs. 62.499 million have been allocated for dismantling of existing deteriorated road and subsequent reconstruction as well as widening of road from Nehar Stop Mushahadi to Garri Chowk Tehsil Taxila (NA-53).
Likewise, Rs. 77.919 million have been allocated for recarpetting/widening of existing deteriorated stretch and new construction of rigid pavement of road from Gola More to Bissa Tehsil Kotli Sattiyan. She said these roads once completed will be helpful to maintain the flow of traffic and will provide easy mobility to locals, she added.
