Rawalpindi: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) Rawalpindi has summoned the section office of Interior Ministry with record on March 26th in an explosive and weapons recovery case of Top City Housing Society case.
ATC Court No. 1 Judge Muhammad Asgher has resumed the hearing of the case. During the hearing the counsel of the accused, Zulfiqar Abbas Naqvi has requested the court to seek all record of rangers’ raid on phase-1 of top city housing society from interior ministry, so that if would be clarified that when this raid was conducted.
On this while issuing notice to section officer the court has sought the all record on March 26 and section office directed to appear before the court on same day with record. The nominated accused in this case including Kunwar Moeez Ahmed, Muhammad Essa, Ghulam Yassen, Muhammad Adeel Akram, Muhammad Faiz and Aslam Khan were present in the court with their counsel Zulfiqar Abbas Naqvi. Later the hearing of the case adjourned after completion of arguments.
It was worth mentioned here that on May 18, 2017, Pakistan Rangers had claimed of conducted a raid along with Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on the house no 32, Lane-3 Asghri-12 and seized huge cache of arms and explosives. Earlier rangers raided the residence of Moeez in federal capital and arrested him. Later, Rangers also raided Top City housing society near New Islamabad International Airport and again claimed taking some criminals into the custody involved in Karachi bloodshed who have been taking refuge in the Top City premises.
