MIRPUR (AJK):(Parliament Times) Legendary AJK Police Officer Raja Irfan Salim, SSP, Friday left Islamabad for Washington, accompanying 9-member deputation of senior Pakistani officers, to participate in the State-sponsored two-week long training course titled “Prevention of Child Abduction” being hosted by the U.S State Department of International Educational and Cultural Affairs, official sources said.
“Irfan is the only officer from AJK police picked up for the special training course along with eight senior officers from entire Pakistan belonging to judiciary (judges) and the law department”, official sources told this Correspondenyt here on Saturday.
The fully United States-funded course is being held from February 24 to March 10 in the U.S Capital, the sources added.
The course has been designed to enhance the professional skills of the participants harmonies e to the need of modern age to discourage and prevent the cases of abduction of children in the country through rooting out their causes. The course is also stated to be involved with special lectures on strategy for child exploitation prevention and interdiction
