Muzaffarabad:(Parliament Times) Â AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider has condemned the continued violations of human rights by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir. While addressing the participants of National Security Workshop here on Saturday the Prime Minister said that India had waged a war against the Kashmiris for last over four months and was using every cheap measure to suppress their freedom struggle.
He said that Indian troops and police personnel had killed over 100 innocent people and injured thousands others during the ongoing uprising but the international community had become a mute spectator which was unjust. He said that the present Moodi’s government had broken all the past records of oppression and the world community must take strong cognizance of Indian brutalities in the territory.
He said that curfew, restrictions, arrest, harassment and registration of fake cases against innocent Kashmiris had become a routine but such cheap tactics could not prevent the people of Kashmir from their just struggle for securing their right to self-determination. Raja Farooq Haider lauded Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for supporting Kashmir issue in his address to the joint session of parliament in Islamabad.
Describing Azad Kashmir as first defence line of Pakistan, AJK PM said Kashmiris are standing shoulder to shoulder with armed forces of the country to defeat the nefarious designs of the enemy.
He said that Pak Army is fully capable to give befitting response to any Indian misadventure. He said that a strong and stable Pakistan is a great guarantee of the success of Kashmir liberation struggle.
He said that Indian aggression at Line of Control is its failed attempt to divert the attention of world community from the deteriorating human rights situation in Occupied Kashmir. Referring to the development of liberated territory he said that state has great potential in tourism, agricultural development and hydro-power generation. Raja Farooq Haider Khan said that a comprehensive strategy is being evolved to utilize natural resources for the progress and prosperity of the state.
He said Pakistani government is playing its proactive role for resolving Kashmir issue and highlighting the atrocities of Indian forces against innocent people. Meanwhile Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan expressed his deep condolence on the sad demise of the father of Senior Suprintendent Police Muzaffarabad Syed Riaz Haider Bukhari and conveyed his sympathies with bereaved family. He also condoled with UK based senior journalist Zahid Bukhari and Secretary General Mirpur Press Club Sajjad Hussain Bukhari on the sad demise of their uncle.
