Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) The affectees of Askari Group of Investment (AGI) hailing from district Rawalpindi have appealed to the chief justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan and Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa to take stern action against the ‘fraudulent’ owners and office bearers of the AGI, which they alleged have looted and plundered its clients under the pretext of co-operative investment.
This appeal was made in a meeting, which was attended by a large number of affectees of AGI here on Wednesday. The participants of meeting said that the owner of the company-AGI, including Nihal Khan, Nazish Bibi, Fousia Bukash and Faiza Bibi had launched a massive advertisement campaign on social media regarding the sale/purchase of Vehicles and Plots on easy installments. The campaign they said went on unabated for several months as a result a large number of people invested their hard earned money in the company (AGI). “The owners of the company had disappeared soon after collecting money from the people who had invested with them in good faith”, the affectees said adding that they were given death threatens after they asked the owners to return back the amount of money they have paid to the company.
The affectees regrettably noted that despite lodging formal complaints in Police, FIA, NAB and other relevant quarters no action whatsoever has been taken against this fake company that has been using word “Askari” to create an impression that the company was someway related to Pak army. Terming it as a ploy to defame the prestigious institution the affecctees have demanded the CJP and COAS to take effective notice of the matter so that the perpetrators could be brought to justices.
