Low Turnout at PTI Mardan rally reflects Public Disillusionment: Khadija Bibi

Islamabad,(Parliament Times):Reacting to the recent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally in Mardan, Awami National Party (ANP) Member of Provincial Assembly Khadija Bibi stated that despite the use of all official resources and administrative machinery, the failure to mobilize a large public turnout clearly reflects that people are no longer influenced merely by slogans and claims, but now prioritize practical performance.

She said that political and moral traditions demanded that, on the occasion of the rally, acknowledgment should have been given to the historic development projects and mega initiatives carried out by the Awami National Party in Mardan and the province. She added that announcements for further funding and completion of these projects should have been made to ensure continuity of public service and to demonstrate true commitment to the people of Mardan.

Expressing concern, Khadija Bibi said that the priorities of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf do not appear to focus on public welfare and serious governance. She stated that the government’s attention remains largely directed towards non-serious statements, unnecessary criticism, and targeting political opponents, while public issues are being neglected.

She further added that this is the reason why questions regarding government performance are increasing day by day and public frustration is growing. She warned that if this approach continues, the decline of the government will become even more evident.
