Waheed Iqbal hails Pakistan–Saudi Defence pact, calls Pakistan Army Guardian of Holy Mosques

London,(Parliament Times):Presidential Advisor for Overseas Pakistanis in the UK, Waheed Iqbal, said that the historic defense agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia has made it clear that Allah Almighty has chosen the armed forces of Pakistan for the protection of the Two Holy Mosques. He expressed these views while talking to the media.He said that the defense of Saudi Arabia is, in fact, the defense of the Two Holy Mosques. All Islamic countries are very respected and important to us, and unity among all is the need of the time. However, our religious and spiritual centers the Holy Kaaba and the Prophet’s Mosque (peace be upon him) are located only in Saudi Arabia. Therefore, the virtue, greatness, and importance that this sacred land holds on earth cannot be matched by any other place.He further said that Allah Almighty has entrusted the armed forces of Pakistan with the great and sacred duty of protecting the Two Holy Mosques. Pakistan’s great army will safeguard them, and for this sacred cause, even our lives are ready to be sacrificed.
He added that armies around the world may fear death, but the brave armed forces of Pakistan do not fear death because they believe that if death comes while fulfilling their mission, Allah Almighty will grant them the status of martyrdom.
