    Dadyal turns out in hundreds to welcome Malik Amir Kabul

    Dadyal,(Parliament Times):Malik Amir Kabul, the President of the Overseas Pakistanis Welfare Council (OPWC) Kashmir Forum UK/Europe, was accorded a tumultuous and heart-warming reception at the Dhangali Bridge entrance upon his first arrival in his hometown of Dadyal since being appointed as the Presidential Advisor for Overseas (UK). A vibrant procession of hundreds, led by prominent figures including central PML-N leader and former assembly candidate Shoaib Abid, Malik Qamar Ayub, Barrister Talat Aziz, MD of Royal Cars Chaudhry Qadeer, and District Chairman of the Zakat Committee Khan Zafar Khan, gathered to welcome him. Malik Amir Kabul was accompanied by a distinguished delegation, including Chief Guest and Chairman of the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) Syed Qamar Raza Shah, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Zahid Mughal, Chairman OPWC Naeem Naqshbandi, Abid Hussain, Chaudhry Aftab Hussain, and Aslam Dogar. The Advisor was escorted from the Dhangali Bridge to the reception venue in a massive motorcade, reflecting the deep respect and local support he commands.

    Addressing the reception, Chief Guest Syed Qamar Raza Shah praised Malik Amir Kabul as an active, sincere, and highly capable leader who has played a pivotal role in serving the Pakistani and Kashmiri diaspora. He noted that Kabul’s appointment as Presidential Advisor is a welcome development that will ensure the issues facing overseas Pakistanis in the UK are highlighted and resolved through practical measures. In his own address, Malik Amir Kabul expressed his profound gratitude to the Acting President of the State, Chaudhry Latif Akbar, for his trust. He vowed to utilize his new position to bridge the gap between the government and the diaspora, emphasizing that overseas Kashmiris are the backbone of the national economy through their remittances and serve as the country’s best ambassadors globally. Advisor to the Prime Minister Zahid Mughal also spoke at the event, describing the appointment as a “good omen” for the region and thanking the Acting President for choosing a dedicated community representative. Other speakers highlighted that such gatherings are essential for fostering mutual connections and helping the younger generation stay rooted in their identity, culture, and national objectives. The event concluded with a vote of thanks to the organizers, with participants expressing the hope that such initiatives would continue to strengthen the bond between the state and its citizens living abroad.
