Muzaffarabad,(Parliament Times): Vice President of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) Youth Wing Azad Kashmir, Raja Abdullah Imtiaz Advocate, has stated that nominating Syed Asim Munir for the Nobel Peace Prize is not an act of flattery but a demand of justice.
He said the call is not limited to Pakistan; rather, it reflects the voices of international circles that have closely observed efforts to maintain peace during periods of regional tension. According to him, the global community has witnessed a role in which a key figure stood between two conflicting powers and helped bring them to the negotiating table.
Raja Abdullah Imtiaz Advocate further remarked that people in the Gulf region, citizens of Pakistan, and responsible stakeholders in other countries support this nomination, citing examples of counterterrorism efforts and the measured handling of border disputes in recent years.
He added that statements from certain international personalities, expressions of gratitude from regional countries, and acknowledgments at governmental levels strengthen this position. He emphasized that there is a clear distinction between recognition and flattery: flattery involves praise without substantive achievement, whereas recognition is based on real performance.
He stressed that acknowledging efforts for peace is the need of the time, and ignoring such contributions would amount to an injustice to history.
