Islamabad,(Parliament Times):Provincial President of Pakistan Muslim League Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Coordinator for Overseas & Human Resource Development, Intikhab Khan Chamkani, visited the party’s Women Wing office where he met with Provincial President Women Wing, Shehla Riaz. During the meeting, important discussions were held regarding further activation of the Women Wing and strengthening its organizational structure.
In this regard, Shehla Riaz issued a formal notification appointing women from various districts of the province to different party positions. According to the announcement, Nagina Shaheen has been appointed as Provincial Vice President, Fareeda Bibi as Provincial General Secretary, Shabana Muhammad as Provincial Information Secretary, and Nilofar as Organizer for District Peshawar. Several other appointments have also been made.
Intikhab Khan Chamkani also attended a Women Wing meeting, where he reviewed organizational matters in detail. Addressing the participants, he stated that the Women Wing is a vital pillar of the party, and without active participation of women, a strong political organization cannot be envisioned. He urged the newly appointed office bearers to fulfill their responsibilities in accordance with the party’s constitution and manifesto and to ensure grassroots-level activation of the organization.
Meanwhile, Central President of the Women Wing and Member of the National Assembly, Ms. Farukh Khan, addressed the gathering via telephone. She congratulated the newly appointed office bearers and expressed hope that the role of women in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would become more effective and impactful.
On the occasion, Shehla Riaz announced that the Women Wing will soon organize a large convention, bringing together women workers from across the province. She stated that the purpose of this initiative is to politically mobilize women and further strengthen the party, along with announcing a future organizational roadmap.
