    Gilani highlights interfaith Harmony in Baisakhi Message to Hindu and Sikh Communities

    Islamabad,(Parliament Times):Chairman Senate, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, has extended his heartfelt felicitations to the Hindu and Sikh communities in Pakistan and around the world on the joyous occasion of Baisakhi.

    In his message, the Chairman Senate stated that Baisakhi is a vibrant celebration symbolizing happiness, hope, and brotherhood. He emphasized that such occasions inspire the values of mutual respect, tolerance, and harmony among diverse communities.

    He further remarked that Pakistan is a pluralistic and multicultural society where individuals belonging to all religions are guaranteed the freedom to practice their faiths in accordance with their beliefs. He highlighted that the Parliament of Pakistan has enacted effective legislation aimed at safeguarding the rights of minorities, promoting religious freedom, protecting places of worship, and eliminating all forms of discrimination against minority communities.

    The Chairman reiterated that both Parliament and state institutions remain fully committed to ensuring the protection, dignity, and equal rights of minorities across the country.

    On this occasion, he reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to further strengthen interfaith harmony and foster unity and cohesion among all citizens.

    Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani also prayed that the blessings of Baisakhi bring peace, stability, and prosperity to the country and serve as a source of joy and well-being for all minority communities.
