Muzaffarabad ,(Parliament Times):Secretary General of the Central Bar Association, Advocate Murtaza Ahmad Mir, has stated that Pakistan’s role in delaying a potential war between the United States and Iran is being widely appreciated at the global level, reflecting the country’s effective diplomacy and responsible foreign policy.

In his statement, he said that although the current ceasefire is temporary and conditional, it has played a key role in preventing a major humanitarian catastrophe in the region. He added that at such a critical juncture, Pakistan’s leadership, particularly Field Marshal Asim Munir, adopted a wise strategy and contributed positively to the promotion of global peace.

Advocate Murtaza Ahmad Mir further said that the decision by the US President to postpone military strikes, along with the recognition of Pakistan’s efforts in this regard, demonstrates that Pakistan is emerging as a responsible and effective mediator in international affairs.

He added that the proposed talks in Islamabad could prove to be an important step toward establishing lasting peace in the region. He stressed that all concerned parties should act with seriousness and take practical steps toward de-escalation and the peaceful resolution of issues so that the world may be protected from a major disaster.

In response to a question, he stated that, in light of the agreement with the Saudi government, the armed forces of Pakistan have played a remarkable role.
