United Kingdom,(Parliament Times):The President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Latif Akbar, has appointed Pakistan Peoples Party UK’s active and long-standing leader Waheed Iqbal as Presidential Advisor for Overseas UK.A formal notification of this appointment was issued by the Presidential Secretariat, after which a wave of spread among party circles and the overseas Pakistani and Kashmiri community, with many people extending congratulations to Waheed Iqbal.Speaking to the media after this important appointment, the newly appointed Presidential Advisor for Overseas UK, Waheed Iqbal, said that he considers this responsibility an honor and will make every possible effort to fulfill it in the best possible way.On this occasion, he expressed special gratitude to the central leadership of the Pakistan Peoples Party, stating that he will utilize all his abilities to live up to the trust placed in him. He particularly thanked Co-Chairman and President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, President of PPP Women Wing and Member of Sindh Assembly Faryal Talpur, senior party leader Chaudhry Riaz, President AJK Chaudhry Latif Akbar, Prime Minister AJK Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq (or Faisal Mumtaz Rathore if intended), President PPP AJK Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin, and President PPP UK Mohsin Bari. He said the party leadership has always valued its workers.He further stated that he will take practical steps to address the issues faced by the overseas Kashmiri community in the United Kingdom. His top priorities will include safeguarding their rights, raising their concerns at relevant forums, and effectively highlighting the Kashmir issue at the global level.
He added that Kashmiris living in the UK have always played a significant role for their homeland and the Kashmir cause, and their contributions cannot be overlooked. He also emphasized that he will take steps to further organize and mobilize the community so that the party’s message can be conveyed more effectively.According to political analysts, this appointment of Waheed Iqbal could play an important role in strengthening the overseas organization and increasing the party’s influence in the UK.
