Muzaffarabad,(Parliament Times): In view of the prevailing security situation in the country, a large-scale combing operation was conducted across Muzaffarabad on the special directives of SSP Syed Riaz Haider Bukhari. The operation was carried out under the supervision of DSP City Ishtiaq Ali Gillani, with active participation from SHO City Police Station Inspector Manzar Hussain, SHO Model Police Station Civil Secretariat Inspector Javed Ahmed Gohar, and SHO Police Station Saddar
Inspector Wajid Alvi. Officials from the Special Branch and other intelligence agencies also joined the operation, along with a heavy contingent of police personnel.
During the operation, several individuals were taken into custody from different areas of the city. Five suspects belonging to Kurram Agency and Chunian (District Kasur) were arrested from the jurisdiction of City Police Station. Legal action has been initiated against their landlords under the Tenancy Act for failing to register tenants, and three separate cases have been registered in this regard. In a separate action within the limits of Police Station Saddar, a foreign national from Kabul, Afghanistan, was arrested. A case has been registered against him under the Foreigners Act, and further investigation is underway.
The police have reiterated their commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring strict compliance with legal requirements related to tenancy and residency.
