Muzaffarabad,(Parliament Times):The Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, has said that responsible and constructive journalism forms the bedrock of a civilized society.

??”In today’s digital era, the real challenge lies not in reporting news but in delivering accurate and verified information with responsibility. “The AJK premier said this while speaking to a delegation of the Digital and Social Media Association, led by President Naseer Chaudhry.

?? Describing truth, tolerance, and accountability as key to sustainable development, he urged the Digital and Social Media Association to uphold these values in line with modern-day media demands.

??”Journalists can maintain credibility only through research, impartiality, and integrity,” the PM said, cautioning that misinformation creates confusion and erodes public trust.

??The Prime Minister added that digital media, if used responsibly, can promote public awareness, strengthen institutions, and contribute to national development.

?? He called on the association to take practical steps for professional training, curb the spread of fake news, and adhere to modern journalistic standards.

??The prime minister assured the delegation of his government’s full support for the promotion of responsible journalism and fostering a dignified media culture.

??The delegation, on the occasion, reaffirmed the association’s commitment to positive journalism.
