Rawalpindi,(Parliament Times):Khalid Nawaz Sadhraich Central Spokesman of the PTI Kisan Wing and leader from South Punjab stated on Friday that hosting the Iran-US peace talks in Pakistan is a significant national achievement and a matter of great pride. Speaking to party workers and representatives of farmers’ organizations he warmly welcomed the delegations arriving for the ceasefire negotiations.
He emphasized that the security of these honorable delegates is a collective national responsibility. To support the peace process and demonstrate national solidarity, Imran Khan has postponed the protest rally originally scheduled for April 9. The central leadership will announce a new date for the rally later. Sadhraich described the cancellation of scheduled protest public meeting as clear evidence of patriotism by Imran Khan and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
While praising Pakistan’s successful diplomacy and mediation efforts in the Iran-US conflict, he urged the government to immediately reduce the burden on its own citizens by withdrawing the recent hike in petrol prices. He noted that expensive fuel has significantly increased the cost of living and essential food items. Furthermore, he highlighted that rising costs for agricultural inputs are hurting farmers and could severely impact the agriculture sector, making it vital for the government to ensure an immediate reduction in fuel prices.
