Muzaffarabad,(Parliament Times):Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, has described Pakistan’s successful mediation in the Iran–Iraq conflict as a historic development.He made these remarks while speaking to a delegation of the Paigam-e-Aman Committee that called on him under the leadership of prominent religious scholar Maulana Tahir Ashrafi.The AJK premier stated that the international community was increasingly recognizing Pakistan’s role as a credible and trusted mediator, with its name being spoken with honor and respect around the world.He paid tribute to the efforts of Pakistan’s military and political leadership including the President, the Prime Minister, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for their exemplary role in promoting peace, stability, through effective diplomacy.
He added that the leadership’s significant contribution to peace efforts in the Middle East, their balanced approach and visionary role has elevated Pakistan’s global standing and prestige.”Pakistan’s mediation efforts not only contributed to regional peace but also enhanced the country’s international reputation”, he said adding that it was a great achievement for the nation.Highlighting the internal harmony of Azad Kashmir, he said the region stands as a shining example of religious coexistence. He reiterated that the people of Indian occupied Kashmir have consistently rejected Indian rule and remain deeply connected to Pakistan, stating that this everlasting bond between the people was unbreakable.Terming Kashmiris’ ongoing freedom movement as a movement for the completion of Pakistan, the PM expressed confidence that the movement would eventually reach its logical conclusion.Referring to Pakistan’s historic victory in Mark e Haq and its rising stature at the global stage, the Prime Minister noted that these developments have boosted the morale of the Kashmiri people. He said that adding Kashmiri people’s resilience and struggle have gained global recognition.The delegation included Maulana Tahir Ashrafi, Maulana Raghib Naeemi, Maulana Zubair Fahim, Maulana Yousaf Kashmiri, Dr. Muhammad Asif Khan Qadri, Rajesh Kumar, Ramesh Singh Arora, and others. Senior officials from the AJK government were also present.?PM Rathore particularly appreciated the participation of representatives from Sikh and Hindu communities, describing their presence as a symbol of unity and a promising future for the region.
