Bradford,(Parliament Times):Zahid Mughal, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), recipient of the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, and Central Information Secretary of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) UK, has stated that it was the visionary leadership of Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto that transformed Pakistan into a nuclear power. Addressing a gathering held to mark the 47th death anniversary of the martyred leader, Mr. Mughal remarked that, by the grace of Almighty, Pakistan now stands as the first nuclear power of the Muslim Ummah—a deterrent so formidable that no enemy can dare cast an evil eye upon the nation. He emphasized that Shaheed Bhutto continues to rule the hearts of the masses due to his people-centric politics and his unwavering commitment to the poor.Highlighting the historic contributions of the PPP founder, Zahid Mughal noted that Bhutto sacrificed his life for the rule of law, human rights, social justice, and the protection of the underprivileged.
He laid the foundation for a strong and dignified state, securing it from external threats through nuclear capability. Furthermore, Mr. Mughal pointed out that Bhutto’s insightful and courageous speeches at the United Nations raised Pakistan’s prestige on the global stage.The Advisor also touched upon the recent legal developments in Pakistan, stating that the Supreme Court’s recent decision has finally served as an admission of Bhutto’s innocence and the historical injustice he faced, noting that his blood became a milestone for the nourishment of democracy. He reaffirmed that under the leadership of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the party is vigorously carrying forward the mission of its founding father. The ceremony concluded with a collective Fateha prayer for the elevation of the spiritual ranks of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, and all other martyrs of the movement.
