Barnala,(Parliament Times): Shaheen Kausar Dar, the newly elected President of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) Women’s Wing, said that, in line with the vision of the late martyred Benazir Bhutto, the Women’s Wing will be further strengthened, organized, and made more active to promote Bhutto’s ideology and effectively address the issues faced by women in the region.
She expressed these views during a reception organized by Maimoona Habib Jaral, Senior Vice President of the Women’s Wing, in Barnala.
Shaheen Kausar Dar emphasized that the organizational structure would be implemented down to the grassroots level to ensure active and effective representation of women at every tier. She highlighted that special focus will be given to increasing female membership and providing women opportunities to play active roles across all party platforms, thereby promoting the PPP’s principles more strongly.
She added that, under the foresight of Women Wing Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Faryal Talpur, the wing will play a significant role in safeguarding women’s rights, promoting public welfare, and supporting the Kashmir freedom movement. She expressed her commitment to achieving a two-thirds majority in the upcoming elections and continuing the mission of public service through governance.
At two separate gatherings in Barnala, nominated Senior Vice President Maimoona Habib Jaral and Secretary-General Shagufta Noreen Kazmi paid tribute to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, praising her lifelong struggle for women’s rights and protection. The participants also expressed gratitude to the party’s central leadership and the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore.
