Rawalakot,(Parliament Times):An important meeting was held today at the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat, University of Poonch Rawalakot, to discuss the provision of reliable and high-speed internet services across the university campus. The meeting was chaired by Director IT, Dr. Lubna Zafar, and attended by relevant officials.
During the meeting, various aspects related to the existing internet infrastructure, service gaps, and future requirements were thoroughly reviewed. Emphasis was laid on ensuring uninterrupted, secure, and high-speed connectivity to facilitate academic, research, and administrative activities.
Key decisions were taken to upgrade the current network infrastructure, enhance bandwidth capacity, and introduce modern monitoring systems for improved performance and quick fault detection. The meeting also highlighted the importance of expanding Wi-Fi coverage to all academic blocks, hostels, and common areas to ensure accessibility for students and faculty alike.
Furthermore, it was resolved to strengthen coordination with service providers to maintain consistent service quality and minimize downtime. Special focus was given to implementing backup connectivity solutions to ensure continuity in case of technical disruptions.
Dr. Lubna Zafar reiterated the university’s commitment to digital transformation and stated that reliable internet access is essential for promoting research, e-learning, and innovation within the institution.
