Islamabad,(Parliament Times):Acting President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Latif Akbar, said that we appreciate the efforts of the Qaumi Paigham-e-Aman Committee for solidarity, protection, and peace. Religious and sectarian harmony in Azad Kashmir is at its peak. We will play our full role in eliminating every kind of evil from across Pakistan, including Azad Kashmir. Insha’Allah, we will make Pakistan a cradle of peace. Pakistan has always extended immense support to Kashmiris in every difficult time. The leadership of occupied Kashmir has made countless sacrifices for the Kashmir freedom movement; we pay tribute to the sacrifices of the Kashmiri leadership. The state of Pakistan has adopted a balanced policy at the global level during the recent Iran war and has played a full role in establishing peace in the region. After Operation Bunyan al-Marsoos, Pakistan’s prestige has increased at the diplomatic level.
Acting President of the State of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Latif Akbar, said that Kashmiris have given countless sacrifices during the Kashmir freedom movement. The dignity of the country has increased under the leadership of the President of Pakistan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, which is a clear testament to bold and courageous leadership. Countless stories of families divided after 1947 are still alive today, while a worst series of oppression and tyranny has been ongoing in occupied Kashmir for several decades.
He said that India has specifically targeted the Kashmiri Hurriyat leadership to crush the freedom movement. India deliberately martyred Hurriyat leaders Syed Ali Geelani, Ashraf Sehrai, and Sheikh Abdul Majeed, while Hurriyat leader Syed Shabbir Shah spent 37 years in prison in the struggle for freedom. Even today, India is confiscating the properties of Kashmiris by enforcing so-called Acts. He said that India’s intentions are malicious and it wants to further worsen the situation along the LoC through false flag operations.
Acting President of Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Latif Akbar said that India’s judicial history is not credible, and in occupied Kashmir not only Muslims but other minorities are also distressed. He said that making the new generation aware of the Kashmir issue is the need of the hour. The Kashmiri people have immense love for Pakistan. At the time of partition, Kashmiris passed the resolution for accession to Pakistan at the residence of Ghazi-e-Millat even before the establishment of Pakistan. He said that Insha’Allah, Kashmir will one day surely be free.
Chaudhry Latif Akbar said that Pakistan has always stood by the Kashmiris. The Government of Pakistan provided full assistance to Kashmiris during natural disasters, especially the 2005 earthquake. He said that the difference between Azad Kashmir and occupied Kashmir is clear. In Azad Kashmir, there is an empowered government under the constitution, while occupied Kashmir is under Indian occupation.
Mentioning Pakistan’s recent diplomatic successes, he said that the world acknowledges Pakistan’s sincere efforts for establishing peace in the Iran war. He appreciated the efforts of the Qaumi Paigham-e-Aman Committee, saying that this committee is playing a key role in promoting harmony, tolerance, and interfaith harmony in society. Through this effort, trust will be restored among different segments of society and hatred will be eradicated. He said that Insha’Allah, we will play our full role in making Azad Kashmir a region full of religious and sectarian harmony, unity, and solidarity.
In his address at the event, the Coordinator of the Qaumi Paigham-e-Aman Committee and prominent religious scholar Maulana Tahir Ashrafi said that the Qaumi Paigham-e-Aman Committee is actively working to eliminate extremism and establish peace in the country. Our relation with Kashmir is based on the Kalima; Kashmiris are our brothers. India cannot tolerate peace in Kashmir. The Government of Pakistan will continue to play a full role in the development of Azad Kashmir. The Qaumi Paigham-e-Aman Committee, together with the government of Azad Kashmir, will continue to spread the message of tolerance, love, and unity in society.
The purpose of this committee, established through the efforts of the President of Pakistan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, is to prioritize peace. Its aim is to bring different schools of thought together on one platform and promote religious and sectarian harmony, unity, and solidarity. He said that to deal with the challenges facing Pakistan, religious, social, and political leadership must work together in unity. Just as in all of Pakistan, we will play our full role for sectarian and religious harmony in Azad Kashmir. Without promoting religious harmony, interfaith tolerance, and national unity, lasting peace cannot be established.
He said that due to the peace efforts of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan’s prestige has increased around the world. Keeping the youth away from extremism and directing them towards positive activities is the need of the hour. The message of tolerance, respect, and brotherhood should be spread through educational institutions, mosques, and social platforms. Maulana Tahir Ashrafi expressed the resolve that the Qaumi Paigham-e-Aman Committee will continue its efforts to promote peace, love, and unity in every corner of the country.
He said that the menace of terrorism is the biggest threat to the country. We reject the ideologies of Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij. To completely eliminate this scourge of terrorism, state institutions, law enforcement agencies, religious scholars, and the public must move forward together with a joint strategy. Pakistan has made unparalleled sacrifices in the war against terrorism; now the time has come to ensure lasting peace in the country in light of these sacrifices.
At the conclusion of the conference, a resolve was reiterated to accelerate collective efforts for promoting harmony, peace, unity, and brotherhood in the country; to take concrete steps for the complete eradication of terrorism and extremism; and to play a full role in making Pakistan a peaceful, stable, and sustainably developing country.
In the conference organized by the Qaumi Paigham-e-Aman Committee at the Presidency, Kashmir House Islamabad, other speakers also expressed the resolve that all segments will promote harmony for the establishment of peace, unity, and harmony in Pakistan. The struggle for the establishment of peace will continue at all times. The Army Chief and the Prime Minister have given a clear message to the world that the Pakistani nation is united like a solid wall of lead. The protection of minorities in Pakistan will be ensured in every possible way. Kashmir is a settlement of peace and love.
In their speeches, religious scholars said that the eradication of every kind of evil from the country is inevitable, and particularly, there must be national unity for the eradication of Fitna al-Khawarij. India wants to sabotage the peace of the region through its aggression and mischief; however, the Pakistani nation is ready to face every challenge. Scholars and the public must play a united role to eliminate the menace of Kharijism so that peace and stability can be ensured in society.
Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan are completely rejected. They said that the Pakistan Army is fighting vigorously against anti-state elements. They said that Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan. They said that, by the grace of Allah, Pakistan’s leadership is advancing the process of resolving the problems of Azad Kashmir and its development, and this process will continue in the future. They expressed the resolve that every possible effort will be made to promote peace, love, tolerance, and brotherhood.
On this occasion, religious personalities from different schools of thought from across the country participated in the conference organized by the Qaumi Paigham-e-Aman Committee at the Presidency, Jammu & Kashmir House, Islamabad.
