Vienna Austria: Pakistan Austria bilateral trade continues its positive trajectory for the second consecutive years. This is reflected in the latest trade statistics released by the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKO).

According to the 2025 data, total bilateral trade between Pakistan and Austria reached Euro 475.138 million, marking a 16% increase compared to Euro 408.525 million in 2024. This sustained growth underscores the strengthening economic partnership between the two countries.

The balance of trade remains in favour of Pakistan, amounting to Euro 283.51 million, reflecting the growing competitiveness and demand for Pakistani products in the Austrian market.

Pakistan’s exports to Austria demonstrated robust performance, increasing by 20.2% in 2025 to Euro 379.324 million, compared to Euro 315.467 million in 2024. This significant growth highlights the expanding footprint of Pakistani goods across key sectors.

A broader comparison with 2023 figures further illustrates this upward trend. Total bilateral trade has increased by 52%, while Pakistan’s exports to Austria have surged by 60% over the two-year period. Austrian exports to Pakistan have also shown positive momentum, recording a 28% increase. This manifests the deepening of commercial engagement between the two countries.

The increase in trade is attributed to the enhanced business-to-business linkages improved market access, and sustained efforts to promote trade and investment between the two countries.

During the recent official visit to Austria, both the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister extensively engaged with Austrian business community at a Business Forum which was co-chaired by the Mr. Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan and Mr. Christian Stocker, Federal Chancellor of Austria. In their interactions with the Austrian side both the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister focused on strengthening bilateral trade and investment.
