Saudi Arabia,(Parliament Times): The leader of Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N) Azad Jammu and Kashmir UK, Raja Changez Khan, has appreciated the personal interest and provision of funds by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, for the Rathoa Haryam Bridge and expressed his gratitude.In a statement, Raja Changez Khan said that in accordance with the vision of the leader of Pakistan and President of PML-N, Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is taking special measures for the construction and development of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and ample funds are being provided for important projects in the region.He said that, God willing, on Independence Day (Pakistan), *14 August 2026*, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will receive a warm welcome, where he will inaugurate the Rathoa Haryam Bridge and address a public gathering. He further said that the completion of the Rathoa Haryam Bridge will provide travel facilities to the people of the Mirpur Division and create new opportunities for development in the area.Raja Changez Khan said that the Mangla Dam is an important project for Pakistan’s economic and financial development, which has played a significant role in the country’s energy production and agricultural progress.
He added that the people of Mirpur made great sacrifices by migrating twice during the construction of Mangla Dam and later during the dam raising project, sacrifices that will always be remembered in history.He further said that the completion of the Rathoa Haryam Bridge had been a long-standing demand of overseas Kashmiris, which became possible due to the attention and efforts of the federal government led by PML-N.He stated that overseas Kashmiris stand with the government in every development project of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.He added that in the upcoming elections in Azad Kashmir, the public will support the Pakistan Muslim League (N), and the process of development in the region will accelerate further. Under the leadership of the President of PML-N Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Shah Ghulam Qadir, the party has become a strong political force in the region. God willing, PML-N will win with a two-thirds majority, form the government, and usher in a new era focused on the public.
