Prime Minister Azad Kashmir, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, has said that the government considers public welfare its first and foremost responsibility.He expressed these views during his meeting with Chairmen of District Zakat Councils from across Azad Kashmir who called on him here today. He said that practical steps were being taken to make the system stronger, more effective, and active. He added that eliminating class disparity and ensuring equal rights for all were his government’s key priorities.
He urged Chairmen of District Zakat Councils to work with honesty and devote themselves to the service of humanity. Prime Minister Rathore further said that the Pakistan Peoples Party has always worked to address the deprivations of the people and would continue to ensure the implementation of people-friendly policies.
He assured the delegation that all available resources would be utilized to accelerate efforts to resolve public issues, promote social welfare initiatives, and advance the development process. Earlier, the Prime Minister was briefed in detail about matters related to the Zakat Department, and welfare initiatives being undertaken in their respective areas.
The Chairmen of District Zakat Councils from different districts of Azad Kashmir also informed the Prime Minister about the ongoing welfare activities in their respective districts, the priorities set for public service, and the implementation of these initiatives in light of government directives.
Among those who attended the meeting were Sardar Afaq Khan, Mir Fazil ur Rehman, Sardar Niaz, Chaudhry Anees Sango, Wajahat, Kashan Mughal, Coordinator to the Prime Minister Shah Nawaz Rathore, Pakistan Peoples Party leader Manzoor Dar Advocate, Bashir Baig, Sheikh Nazeer and others.
