Faisalabad,(Parliament Times): A colorful Ramadan Sports Gala was organized at The University of Faisalabad in which students actively participated in different indoor and outdoor sports competitions. The event was arranged to promote sports activities, teamwork, and healthy competition among students during the holy month of Ramadan. Universities often organize such sports events to encourage physical fitness and leadership skills among students.
A large number of students from different departments and international backgrounds enthusiastically took part in the competitions. The sports gala created an atmosphere of excitement and unity on campus as participants demonstrated their athletic skills and competitive spirit. One of the most thrilling events of the gala was the tug-of-war competition, where Waleed Butt secured the first position, while Faisal Arif also performed remarkably and made his mark in the competition. The contest remained highly competitive and attracted great attention from the spectators. The football competition was another highlight of the event. In an exciting match, international students displayed excellent teamwork and coordination and successfully won the match, receiving appreciation from fellow students and organizers. Similarly, in the volleyball competition, the team led by Syed Sadna showed an outstanding performance and secured victory in the final match. Their teamwork and determination were widely appreciated by the audience present at the venue.
The sports gala concluded with an impressive closing ceremony where university officials appreciated the enthusiasm and active participation of the students. On this occasion, the Deputy Director Sports Altaf Ahmed, along with Accounts Office representative Yasir Mehmood and Zakria Raja, distributed Shiel among the participants and congratulated the winning teams for their outstanding performances. Speaking on the occasion, the organizers highlighted that sports activities are an essential part of student life as they promote discipline, teamwork, and leadership qualities among young people. Students also thanked the university management for organizing such a successful and enjoyable event and expressed hope that similar sports activities would continue in the future.
