    PM AJK Faisal Mumtaz Rathore pays tribute to K. H. Khurshid’s democratic struggle

    Muzaffarabad,(Parliament Times): Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Faisal Mumtaz Rathore has said that K. H. Khurshid was a great leader who always stood for public rights and democratic values.In his message issued on the death anniversary of the former president, the Prime Minister said that the deceased leader was a principled politician whose objective was the freedom of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir and its accession to Pakistan. “K H Khurshid raised political awareness among the Kashmiri people and encouraged them to speak for their basic rights”, the PM said.The Prime Minister said that K. H. Khurshid’s vision was a Kashmir where people would have freedom and democratic rights.”As the private secretary to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, he played a crucial role in the Pakistan Movement and later devoted his energies for the promotion of democratic traditions in Azad Kashmir”, he added. Terming K. H. Khurshid as a man of honesty and integrity, the AJK premier said that the deceased would be remembered for a long time in the annals of Kashmir’s history.

    “K. H. Khurshid died in a tragic accident while he was traveling on a coach and had a few rupees in his pocket”, he said, adding that it speaks volumes of his integrity.The Prime Minister urged the younger generation to learn from the life and struggle of K. H. Khurshid
