    Iran declares 40 days of mourning over Ayatullah Khamenei Martyred in US-Israeli strikes

    Italy,(Parliament Times):According to a foreign news agency, Iranian state media has confirmed the martyrdom of Ayatullah Ali Khamenei in American and Israeli air strikes and has announced 40 days of mourning. A 7-day public holiday has also been declared in Iran after the attack. According to Iranian official sources, his daughter, son-in-law and grandson/daughter-in-law, including other close family members, were also martyred in these attacks. Several important government and military sites in Iran were targeted in the air and naval attacks that began on Saturday morning.

    Ayatullah Khamenei was in his office compound during the attack, where his martyrdom was announced. Ayatullah Ali Khamenei had been Iran’s Supreme Leader since 1989, and he had assumed this position after Ayatullah Khomeini.  His martyrdom is being considered a very serious change in the Middle East and global political landscape. According to a foreign news agency, the head of the Global Times News Agency European Organization, Ikramuddin, said in his condolence statement that he expressed his regret and condolences on the martyrdom of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatullah Ali Khamenei. He said that the Iranian people and the Islamic world have lost a brave supreme leader. May Allah Almighty elevate the ranks of the deceased and grant patience to the bereaved family. The head of the Global Times News Agency European Organization, Ikramuddin, added that we are with the bereaved family in this hour of sorrow and grief.
