Pishin,(Parliament Times): The elections for the Pishin District Archery Association have been successfully concluded. Syed Abdur Rafi Agha was elected President, Syed Asiya as General Secretary, and Syed Abdul Badee as Finance Secretary for a four-year term.
Only one panel submitted nomination papers, and no opposing panel participated. The elections were conducted smoothly under the supervision of District Sports Officer Pishin, Abdul Rahim Kharl, with Election Committee Chairman Din Muhammad Bhutto and members Najeebullah and Khial Muhammad overseeing the process.
All presidents and general secretaries of Pishin District Archery clubs participated, and the newly elected office-bearers were chosen through a show of hands.
The newly elected General Secretary, Syed Asiya, stated that she is committed to promoting archery in Pishin and ensuring active participation of women in the sport. She emphasized that women, like men, should excel not only academically but also in sports, representing their country with pride. She added that creating a safe and supportive environment for female athletes is key, and with the support of the Government of Balochistan, the Sports Department, and local community leaders, they aim to encourage greater involvement in archery.
