    Jhelum,(Parliament Times):
Under the Pothohar Agriculture Reforms Program, a ceremony was organized by the Agriculture Department for the distribution of Laser Land Levelers. MNA Ch. Farrukh Altaf and Director Agriculture Water Management Farhana Jameel were the chief guests. A transparent balloting was conducted to select 14 lucky farmers from the district who will receive these advanced units.
According to details, a heavy subsidy of 700,000 PKR per unit is being provided to farmers to facilitate the acquisition of modern technology at an affordable cost. Officials stated that a total of 100 laser land levelers would be distributed across the Rawalpindi Division this year to promote water conservation and increase agricultural yield per acre. The Water Management department is providing technical support to the selected farmers.
MNA Ch. Farrukh Altaf emphasized that the government is dedicated to farmer prosperity through consistent agricultural reforms. Director Farhana Jameel expressed confidence that these modern tools would revolutionize rain-fed farming in Pothohar by minimizing water wastage through efficient land leveling. The farming community welcomed this initiative as a significant step toward modernizing the local agriculture sector.
