    Lahore,(Parliament Times):

A luncheon was hosted at Sunder Industrial Estate in honour of Mian Anjum Nisar and President of Lahore Chamber, Faheemur Rehman Saigol. The event brought together industrialists from the chemical, pharmaceutical, packaging, automotive, and other sectors, providing a platform to discuss sector-specific challenges and strategies for economic growth. The meeting was coordinated and hosted by Ban Rashid CEO Moazzam Rasheed.

During the session, representatives from various industrial sectors shared their concerns regarding operational challenges, regulatory hurdles, taxation issues, and energy constraints. They also presented practical solutions to be considered in upcoming budget proposals. The industrialists emphasized that sustained growth and export competitiveness depend on government policies that are predictable, consistent, and industry-friendly.

Industry leaders expressed full confidence in the leadership of Mian Anjum Nisar and the Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (PIAF) and assured their cooperation in addressing key sectoral challenges. The discussions reflected a shared commitment to work collaboratively to strengthen industrial output, support employment generation, and enhance Pakistan’s export performance.

Delegations from chemical, pharmaceutical, packaging, automotive, and other industries visited the Ban Rashid head office at Sunder Industrial Estate under the leadership of CEO Moazzam Rasheed. The pharmaceutical sector, in particular, outlined challenges related to infrastructure, regulatory approvals, and market access, while proposing actionable recommendations to provincial and federal authorities.

Addressing the attendees, Mian Anjum Nisar and Faheemur Rehman Saigol urged sector representatives to actively participate in committees, contribute practical suggestions, and ensure their recommendations are included in government and local budget proposals. They emphasized that the Lahore Chamber is committed to providing continuous support and input to assist policymakers in designing long-term, sustainable business policies.

The leaders also noted that the pharmaceutical sector has experienced significant growth in recent years, and its export performance has been encouraging relative to overall national exports. They stressed that supporting key sectors through policy reforms, skill development, and infrastructure investment will be critical to sustaining growth, boosting exports, and creating employment opportunities.

The luncheon was attended by a wide range of industry representatives from pharma, plastics, and packaging, including former Chairman Hamid Raza, Waqas Mughal, Dr. Ajmal Mian, Dr. Azeer Nagira, Chaudhry Imtiaz, M.
