    Quetta,(Daily Parliament Times):
Senior Provincial Minister of Balochistan, Central Committee member of the Pakistan Peoples Party, parliamentary leader, and Provincial Minister for Irrigation, Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umrani, has warmly congratulated all the newly elected office-bearers of the Balochistan Union of Journalists (BUJ) on their recent electoral success.
In his congratulatory message, the provincial minister extended his best wishes to the newly elected President Manzoor Ahmed, Senior Vice President Fareedullah, General Secretary Shah Hussain Tarin, Vice President Zafar Baloch, and other office-bearers, as well as newly elected members of the executive council including Raza Rehman, Saleem Shahid, Khalil Ahmed, Shehzada Zulfiqar, and others.
Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umrani emphasized that all friends associated with the crucial profession of journalism should use freedom of expression as a means to present fact-based reporting aimed at promoting peace, harmony, and development in society. He highlighted that journalism and media constitute the fourth pillar of any country or state. Therefore, all individuals and organizations connected with media must recognize the importance, utility, and necessity of their profession, and make earnest efforts to foster a positive and constructive mindset so that public issues can be addressed in a timely manner.
He expressed hope that the Balochistan Union of Journalists will play an effective role in promoting positive, constructive, and responsible journalism in the province. The provincial government, he added, has always extended its full support and made sincere efforts to resolve issues faced by the journalist community.
