    Orientation session holds for newly admitted students of CS&IT Programs at UPR

    Rawalakot, (Parliament Times) :  The Department of Computer Science & Information Technology, University of Poonch Rawalakot (UPR), organized an Orientation Session for newly admitted students of BS Computer Science, BS Software Engineering, BS Data Science, BS Artificial Intelligence, and BS Cyber Security programs.

    The session aimed to welcome the new students and familiarize them with the academic structure, departmental policies, and learning opportunities available at UPR.

    Prof. Dr. Abdul Rauf Khan, Dean Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his address, he warmly welcomed the students to the UPR community, emphasizing the importance of dedication, discipline, and innovation in the rapidly evolving field of computer science. He encouraged students to make the most of the learning environment and facilities provided by the university and to equip themselves with the latest technological knowledge and ethical values.

    Dr. Adnan Rafique, Assistant Professor, delivered a detailed orientation presentation, providing students with comprehensive information about their respective programs, curriculum, departmental environment, academic rules, and study patterns. He also briefed students on the departmental vision and expectations, motivating them to actively participate in academic and co-curricular activities.

    Assistant Professors Mr. Sohrab Bashir, Dr. Lubna Zafar, Dr. Shamaila Hayat, and Dr. Kashif Khatak, Lecturers Dr. Anam Mushtaq, Dr. Sumaira Kanwal, Ms Kanwal Mahmud and Ms. Anam Nasser from the Department of Computer Science & Information Technology, were also present on the occasion. They provided students with valuable information and guidance regarding their respective programs. The session concluded with an engaging question-and-answer segment, during which students interacted with the faculty to clarify their academic queries.
